Inspiration
As a terrestrial species, human beings have long expressed their fear of the unknown depths of the sea through various literary works throughout history. Whether it be storms at sea, the darkness that engulfs its depths, or the countless sightings of sea monsters, humans are filled with both fear and curiosity towards this enigmatic ocean.
Today, with our ability to explore depths up to 10,000 meters below the surface, much of the mystery surrounding the ocean is gradually being unveiled. However, literary works centered around sea monsters and depicting the perils of the sea continue to be created. Among them, "The Call of Cthulhu," written by Lovecraft in the last century, has profoundly inspired me with its portrayal of a mysterious world.
My goal is to produce a short film featuring a Cthulhu-style creature inspired by humanity's unknown fear of the deep sea, which serves as the apex predator in the biological weapons program known as 'Experimental 1939U' mentioned in my previous project. This film will follow the story of a fisherman who narrowly escapes its grasp.
